HELP PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORHOODS FROM OVERDEVELOPMENT!

Tuesday, August 4 at 6:00PM at the Historic Metro Courthouse, the Metro Council will be considering BL2026-1446, a request for massive upzoning of 43 acres of property by Vanderbilt University. This rezoning will include allowable building heights of up to 475' - taller than most downtown buildings - and 6.1 million square feet of density.

Here's how you can help:

  • Attend the August 4 meeting at 6:00pm and speak at the public hearing to let the Metro Council know that more concessions need to be made to height and density to lessen the impact on us.

  • Email the Metro Council (councilmembers@nashville.gov) to let them know that BL2026-1446 should NOT proceed on second reading until Vanderbilt works with our neighborhoods to lower the building heights and reduce the overall density.
